BRE 500: Special Topic – ProMax Exercise: Amine Flow Configurations

Instructor-led demonstration is followed by hands-on exercises. ProMax will be used in this session, which will take approximately 3.5 hours. Agenda

This exercise provides attendees with hands-on experience simulating complex amine sweetening units. Attendees will learn to simulate a flash drum with an absorber used to meet fuel gas H2S specifications, a water wash used to reduce amine losses from the absorber overhead, a split flow (or semi-lean) configuration, packed columns, and how to simulate a bypass around an amine unit.
